Preparing for your PMU BROWS & LIPS

Are you getting ready for a transformative Brow and Lip PMU experience? To ensure a flawless and long-lasting result, it's crucial to follow these pre-care steps.

We've got you covered every step of the way with a break down on each of them.

Preparing for Brow PMU

1. Refrain from Tweezing or Waxing:

Avoid any form of brow maintenance at least two weeks prior to your appointment. This ensures that our skilled artist has a clean canvas to work with.

2. Communicate Your Desires Clearly:

Before your appointment, communicate your brow preferences and any specific shapes or styles you have in mind. This ensures that you and the artist are on the same page, guaranteeing a result that you'll love.

3. Medications and Blood Thinners

Ibuprofen, blood thinners, and fish oils might not be the best buddies for PMU. They can thin your blood and make it harder for the pigment to stay put. If you're on any of these meds, it's wise to consult with your GP before making any changes. Safety first, gorgeous!

4. Sneaky Effects of Skincare Products

Oh, those sneaky skincare ingredients! After a PMU treatment, using products with active ingredients can turn your precious pigment into an ashy purple/blue nightmare. No thanks! Educate yourself and steer clear of those troublemakers to keep your fabulous new brows looking on point. Long live the pigment!

5. Skip the Caffeine:

On the day of your appointment, try to avoid caffeine. This helps minimise any potential discomfort during the PMU process.

Preparing for Lip PMU

1. Cold Sore Prevention:

If you're prone to cold sores, begin taking antiviral medication two weeks prior to your Lip Blush appointment. This precaution protects your lips from unwanted interruptions and ensures a smooth lip-blushing experience.

2. Avoid Cosmetic Injectables:

For optimal results, steer clear of any cosmetic injectables for at least two weeks before your appointment.

3. Say No to Certain Supplements:

Avoid Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Retinol, and Fish Oil for two weeks prior to your appointment. This sets the stage for our skilled artist to create a breathtaking masterpiece on your lips.

4. Bid Farewell to Alcohol:

Within 24 hours prior to your appointment, refrain from consuming alcohol. This step aids in optimal healing and minimises potential discomfort during the lip-blushing process.

5. Watch Your Medications:

Just like brows, it's important to inform us of any medications you may be taking during the consultation process. Ibuprofen, blood thinners, and fish oils might not be the best buddies for PMU. They can thin your blood and make it harder for the pigment to stay put. If you're on any of these meds, it's wise to consult with your GP before making any changes.

By following these pre-care steps, you're setting yourself up for a successful Brow and Lip PMU experience.
